Personal Development, Who Needs It?

Anyone in Network Marketing eventually MUST come to terms that to make it in this business You will have to do some real soul searching, demand personal development of yourself and Dream Big. If not, you WILL give up. Truly, its that way for all who have a dream and follow it. You can be a good football player or a lawyer. but that does not take you to the end result of Olympian or President.  It's the same of someone who starts their own business as a network marketer. You may get a few friends and family to buy your products but, to become a Network Marketing Professional, building a business of financial freedom, you NEED commitment, persistence, practice, education and especially a solid belief system to get you there.
We all have hopes and dreams of a better job, better life, better relationships yet, the majority find them selves in dull non challenging jobs, living a life where lives are full but, love, joy and enjoyment for life are lack luster. We settle for friends and relationships that do not enhance our lives, nor do they help us reach for our full potential. Sometimes they even tear us down and nip away at us when we do begin bettering ourselves. Why?
Why, do we settle, loose sight of our dreams and are okay with not becoming all we are meant to be. Everyone has unlimited God given potential to reach the moon. We are meant to be happy, full of life, intelligent beyond our wildest dreams. We are meant to dream, set goals and a plan on how to reach those goals to attain the dream.Yet, as we grow older the majority of us quit pursuing our dreams?
While most settle for what life hands them, what keeps others committed to their dream, like Nick Vujicic who with no legs or hands has become a world renown motivational speaker who made it his aim to climbed Mt. Kilimenjaro? What drives someone like Helen Keller to become a sought after teacher and international speaker though deaf and blind? Or Thomas Edison despite being called crazy, stupid and "failing" hundreds of times, persist until his dream of light was won. And what about D.Gary Young's relentless pursuit and education of essential oils, finding what he terms "the missing link", between modern medicine and nature. Growing one small farm into the World leader of essential oils. All these people have one thing in common. They had a Dream that they wouldn't let go of.
They all had tremendous obstacles in life to overcome. They had the harsh realities of negative people, callous words of of bullies, ney-sayers and their own inner voices and belief system. Yet, they had a desire to overcome, keep reaching for, got knocked but kept getting up, each time with a greater determination of going after their Dream.

What keeps them so focused? What keeps them setting goals, even when they fail. What is it that drives them to follow dream after dream after dream?
Mindset. Though many failures they never lost sight of their vision. Learn how you too, can resurrect your dreams or create new ones and go after them with vigor. Become a Network Marketing Pro. Create the life you want. Live the life you love. Let each rock you have to overcome become a stepping stone to success.

Lemon Oil Does All That? Say What?

Lots of household products have the smell of Lemon. Why do you think that is? Not only does it have good cleaning capabilities, cuts grease, but the smell evokes good feelings, uplifts and makes the chore at hand less daunting. Notice the next time you walk into a house cleaned with a citrus smelling scent. You feel lighter, awake and a bit happier.
The problem is that the majority of the scents used in products is concocted in a lab of synthetic chemicals and not the real thing. Although it smells good, most cleaning supplies are not good for you. In fact, most have very caustic and dangerous chemicals and are toxic to your respiratory system as well as your skin. Read your labels. You may be shocked.
What does that have to do with Lemon oil. Not much except the all important smell. One drop of Young Living Lemon oil is a powerful little answer to many type stains on clothing, especially grease, pen marks, just about anything with a grease base. Put several drops of lemon oil in a spray bottle of water with a tablespoon of vinegar and you have a non-toxic, good cleaning solution that does no harm, except to the grime your getting rid of.
Run out of your Goo Gone? No fear. Just as you would use it, put a drop of lemon oil on area and rub until the problem is gone.
Why do most people add lemons to their water at restaurants and home? First, because it gives water some flavor and its refreshing. Second, and you may not know this, lemon is very acidic, but when it reaches the belly it transforms into alkaline thus making the stomach a happier place. I wonder if it's good for cleaning gunk off counters and floors, could it also be good for cleaning our bodies internal pipes? Research.
If I don't have peppermint on hand, a drop of lemon on my thumb, put to the roof of my mouth and sucked off a couple times in an hour soothes any occasional upset stomach.
When the trees and plants are starting bloom, or during  when seasonal changes, I find it useful to diffuse a couple drops of peppermint, lavender and lemon together. Not only does it smell wonderful, it works. I never leave the house without a rollerball bottle of this blend. I just never know when I will NEED it.
Lemon essential oil contains a powerful constituent called d-limonene. It would be worth your time to do a Google search on it.
What have you used Lemon oil for? I'd love to hear from you.

End of the Month Hustle

Wednesday August 31, 2016

As a network marketer the last day of the month is the most stressful. Distributors working hard to use promotional vouchers before they expire. Leaders blowing up their cell phones calling, texting, emailing as they reach for making sure all members don't miss out on the months promotions or miss out on commissions due them. From morning until late into the night following up with those who showed interests, mentioned oils in passing, responded to your text or referrals, those who haven't gotten back to you from your last call. This is when I feel i'm my best at entrepreneurship.

I love the rush of being on the clock as the minutes tick down to a new month, when everything goes back to zero and we start the process all over again. Though stressful, I slather on Clarity, Abundance and Highest Potential essential oils and tackle the the day with vigor. Because the day is full and fast paced with multi faceted parts and angles of business, focus and clear thinking is a must. I'm one person but wear the hats of many.
People who are ignorant about Network Marketing's business model, sees it as a pyramid working off the backs of family and friends. They couldn't be more wrong!
For us who work it everyday we know it's really about helping and educating family, friends and all people so they understand our health begins with us. We, the people, can make better health choices by choosing clean nontoxic products for our homes. It's about relationships with our members, helping them choose the best products for their particular concern. It's about our business builders who need encouragement or to lock arms with team mates to help nudge them toward their goal. Everyone has their place. There's No better time to see the Team in action than at the end of a month.

Month End means working hard so that no one misses out on a promotion, commission and especially a Rank. Entire teams pull together calling, sharing, giving samples, doing last minute one on ones, throw together parties and classes in efforts to help a fellow worker reach their goals. It's not about the person at the top, although sometimes they need us too. It's about helping those on the team, wherever they are in the leg, to reach their goals. When I help them, it'll help me in the long run. It's my intent to inspire, encourage, teach, listen and assist. In other words build a friendship.
Networkers are family. They are relationship builders. No other business where the success of those on your team is so intricately tied into ones own success. People helping people get healthy, adding abundance to their lives on every level. In the process we rise to a higher potential, changing lives and growing as individuals while serving up the best oil infused products available in the world.

I have much appreciation for all that pull together every month on that last day of the month, putting all other things aside while we take care of business, doing what we do. Build others to success. That's Network Marketing.

End of the Month Promo's. These two Promo's are extended until Midnight Tonight. Interested? Members: order yours now. Non-members, message me asap.

Lavender: The Swiss Army Knife of Oils

Happy Monday to you! It's day 2 of getting to know the most popular essential oils. Ones that Oilers make sure to never run out of. Today is Lavender.
Lavenders history goes back some 2500 years. Who knew Lavender is a part of the mint family? Ancient Greeks called Lavender nardus and commonly called it Nard. Not to be confused with Spikenard, also called Nard, a costly oil which Mary kept in the alabaster case.
Lavender has long been used in cooking and added to water for bathing. The Greeks and Romans documented its many uses in healing and to treat many health problems. Naturally derived from the plant, used as a non-toxic remedy for many things.
Lavender is known as the Swiss Army Knife of oils. Oilers believe the uses and benefits surpass most other oils. Therefore, a must have in ones arsenal. Do a google search on Rene'-Maurice Gattefosse. His research led to some remarkable findings about lavender oil as well as the investigation into essential oils being used therapeutically.
Lavender is known for it's calming and relaxing components, thus is widely used for this reason. A drop on the bottoms of ones feet at night, on your temples and over your heart help aid in a more restful sleep. It's long been used in the cosmetic industry as perfumes but especially facial cremes and lotions.
FDA rules confine me from sharing all the health supporting uses of Lavender. I am neither a doctor or pharmacists but, if there's and essential oil that deserves its rightful place in your medicine cabinet, it is Lavender.
If you have children or grandkids that are active, it's a must have. If those same kids are putting you over the edge, put a drop or two on them and You and enjoy the rest of your day. If Fido is going ballistic because of passersbys or because of the fireworks during the holiday; put a drop on the tips of his ears and see the transformation.
As the graphic mentions Google "research on lavender essential oil"and be amazed of the benefits that Oilers have appreciated for years now.

Essential Oils Arsenal Must Haves

Most people have heard something about essential oils. Their popularity and use has grown ten fold over last few years. Because of the upward interest in them, I've decide it may be best to go through some of the most popular oils used today.

Before I do, let me say... The market is being flooded by upstarts trying to get in on the oil bandwagon but, don't be fooled, all essential oils ARE NOT the same. When I talk about Using Oils, I will always be referencing Young Living brand. I've done the home work. These are in the top 1% of Therapeutic oils. They have been around for nearly 25 years and are known as the world leader in essential oils. When using Topically (on skin), diffusing (breathing into lungs), or ingesting (taken by capsule, in a drink or under tongue), I only want the best for me and my family. Thus would not share any that are inferior for yours. With that said, let's get to it.
Most people are familiar with Lavender, Peppermint and maybe Lemon oils. They have been used for centuries for lots of things. I will start with one that you may have used yourself, Peppermint.

Back in the day people would chew on peppermint leaves to sooth an irritable gut. Today we can rub one drop of oil on our belly and find the same relief from occasional stomach upset. I love a pitcher of cucumber water with just One drop of peppermint oil in it. I drink it through out the day. It's awesome for supporting the gastro-intestinal system. Plus, it's so refreshing and freshens your breath naturally.
Though we always want to be above the wellness line, occasionally daily stresses on our body happen and a occasional headache results. My go to oil is a drop of peppermint on my temples and back of neck (you may want to dilute with a carrier oil). Also, a drop on thumb pressed to the roof of your mouth is a quick way to settle your mind.
This summer has been hotter than our norm here in Ohio, so I add few drops of peppermint to a spray mist bottle, fill with water and have it close by for a refreshing cooling spritz. It's nice to have near you nightstand, too.
Schools have long known that peppermint wakes up the mind, causing alertness. They often give children peppermint candy before and while testing. One report says that if you diffuse peppermint oil while your child is studying, he may recall 28% better. Wish I'd known that when my kids were in school.
Last but not least. Peppermint diluted* with a carrier oil like Olive, Jojoba, coconut oil, makes an awesome rub for massaging. Rub down neck, shoulders, lower back and feel the tension slip away. *Peppermint is a HOT oil. For for children and adults with more sensitive skin, dilute. I use two tablespoons carrier to 4-5 drops of peppermint oil. Wash hands after using. Will burn if it gets into your eyes.
Do some research for yourself. Peppermint is a must have in your Natural arsenal of defense and support.

WINNER of the bottle of Peppermint will be announced on Mondays blog. How do you enter? Share this page with your 5 of your friends, Leave a comment below and be entered to WIN.

How do you use peppermint oil? Questions? Please post in comments and i'll answer asap.

Join me Monday when we go over the Swiss Army Knife of Oils, Lavender.
Have a Wonderful weekend.

Last night Happy Oiler team husbands got together to do an online Facebook class of their own called  "Oils for Dudes." What fun to watch them share their thoughts about their favorite Young Living oils and products. Talking about hair care - to best oils for the bedroom. Yep, our own Anthony Mott tackled the sensitive but all important subject. Consensus is: get your man Shutran oil stat.  On another note, Who knew lemon oil is so versatile? Cleaning funk from car battery terminals to putting a great shine on the wheels of your car.

Happy Oiler team has sponsored a sequence of educational Online Facebook
oil classes throughout the 2016 summer. "OILS 101","Got my oils, now what", "Get Lean and Fit", "All about Ningxia Red", "OILS for Dudes", "Back to School" to name a few.

Although the classes are over, the Links are still available. If you want to learn more about the Essentials of Essential oils by attending one of the previous classes, email me at ylhappyoiler@gmail.com and we'll be happy to send you a link. Here's the link to last nights event.

Thinking Out Of The Box

A Pandora box of insight was opened the moment I punched the words, natural remedies into the Google search bar. Since then, I have learned there is not just one natural remedy for nearly everything that plagues mankind. There's dozens.
Someone said to me recently, "So what "thing" are you into now?" At first I was a little offended but after reasoning I can see how they could say that. My course over the last 12 years may seem like I bounce from one "great alternative" way of healing to another. There's so many different ways to help our immune system to recover from disease, to help it fight to keep us from becoming sick in the first place, keeping us healthy behind the scenes while we live a good life, and so yes I am guilty, I have been interested in them all.
It is hard not to share information that I know has truly helped me and may help others, in a non-toxic way. Take for instance, depression. Been there done that. OR at least that's what doctors had me believe. Like a million other women I was prescribed all kinds of pills over a 15 year course. Prozac, Wellbutrin, Desyrel, Zoloft and others. Still never answering why I was depressed, anxious, down. Even with the meds the depression would always return. Thus, the switch to another medicine. Tired of the obvious, I investigated and read much about Omega 3's and  Complex Vitamin B's and what effects not having enough of these in our systems does to our brains. I started a regimen of a tbsp. liquid fish oil  2X a day and Mega Foods B complex  (whole food no fillers) 2 times a day. Within a very short time I started feeling better. Energy and positive thoughts flooded my mind. I felt better than I had in years. I have not taken any prescription drugs for depression in nearly 20 years. Depression along with a host of other things subsided. And it is so easy, non toxic. I did not hear this from a doctor. I read it in books. In documents found on the internet. My brain was starved for the nutrients that make it work right. Once those nutrients fed my brain, depression symptoms let up. This is not to tell you what to do, it is what worked for me.
My belief is that chiropractic is: awesome for many  ailments that plague people. Acupunture/acupresser is awesome for many diseases, as is the different massages. I believe vitamins and supplementation or lack  thereof play a huge role in all common diseases of today. Good Nutrition is a key that has been explored by traditional medicine only recently.  Something that "alternative medicine" has long proclaimed as one of the answers to many of the devastating illnesses plaguing mankind.  Lesser know reflexology which my mother had an attachment, holds a place for healing, as well as the ancient, yet seemly new booming business of Essential oils.
I don't claim to know everything about any one health alternative but, I do spend a great deal of time getting enough information to make educated choices about what I might do in individual circumstances.  I'm not a specialist. I'm  more like a general contractor. Know a lot about many areas of health, some much better than others. I have learned what it takes to keep me out of a doctors office, in fact, except for a naturopath I see occasionally, I don't do doctors.  An occasional asprin and the bioidentical hormones i'm currently on, (eventually I will wean off them and use Essential Oils to balance my hormones. I am on no other prescription drugs. At 56 I think that's pretty good.
That's not to say my family and I never get sick. Of course we do. But there's a remedy, nutrient or oil for that.    IF, I jump on a cold at the first sneeze or within "the golden hour", supplementing vitamin C & D (boost immune system) and Echinacea (boost immune and dry up sinuses) every 4 hours, I can usually get rid of it before it gets a firm hold. If not I will be sick for at least a week.

In fact, as I write this I am fighting a cold. It's being fought with some of my old favs and some new additions. Two ounces twice a day of a wolfberry super power antioxidant drink called NingXia Red (see above) We ad the Knockout Shot to the NingXia and took this for three days. I also rubbed 1 drop each of peppermint, lavender and frankincense on all the vitaflex points (feet, hands and chest) for sinuses/chest. We used Echinacea and peppermint oil to help dry up and open the nasal passages. Had I had my Netti Pot we would have done that too but, I left it back in Ohio. I suspect this cold will be all but gone tomorrow. Making my down time 3 days. I  used the same technique on my husband last week when he came down with all the classic symptoms of cold/flu on Thursday and was pretty much back to himself by Sunday. We're literally in the test period of proving to ourselves if essential oils are all that books and people say they are. So far we have not been disappointed. This new protocol proved worthy of finding its way into our medicine cabinet and remedy book.

What about the little pink, blue and yellow packets? Wheat? Sugar? These are all common everyday foods that have been all a buzz. Can they possibly be the culprits of so many problems that have developed over the last forty years? "IF this is true all the doctors would know." Why don't we hear about it on the News? Argh! that's a whole nother blog. Research!
It is my opinion that how much of these things a person uses has a clear impact on how well or how sick she will become, whether now or down the road. This world is a sick place. I try to keep up with current topics. Some ring true, some don't. But IF I don't put in my due diligence to learn and understand, how can I or anyone else poopoo or agree  with any one thought. Many times it the people who haven't taken a lick of time to research a subject, use a natural remedy, try a technique or use a protocol for a period of time that are the most vocal in the bashing of the claims. Their disbelief is founded on hearsey and ignorance.
If you come to me with an ailment or question, I will happily direct you to resources that I've found helpful. Books, websites, videos and even an essential oil. It will be up to you to follow through and come to your own conclusions.
It's funny how things have come a full 360. Forty years down the pike I am the one everyone calls a "health nut."
"So what am I into lately?" Continue to follow my blog and you will be learning right along with me about the world of  Young Living Essential Oils.
